November’s awesome guest is back for round 2 of party jam debauchery–

Every second friday, YOHUCKLEBERRY and a cast of the NW’s finest guests bring you “NO HANDS” at Tube, a night of eclectic party jams blended together for your dancing pleasure.

For the sixth edition of “NO HANDS”, former NW Allstar turned NYC up-and-comer CHI DULY is back again to bless the dance floor with his unique brand of all things funky. Maybe if you’re lucky, you’ll catch a preview of some of the tracks off his much-anticipated “House of Balloons” Weeknd remix album set to release next week.

UO Dance Marathon 2012

For the 4th year in a row, I played tunes at UO Dance Marathon, an awesome 12-hour dance party that raises money for Children’s Miracle Network.

This year, we raised $28,919 for pediatric neonatal units. Peep the article here.

Big thanks to the UO DM Exec for having me out again and to all 850 dancers for such a great event.

Fa$t Life- One Year Anniversary

Hello Internets!

I took a bit of a hiatus from the blog, but that doesn’t mean tons of awesome stuff wasn’t happening. Had crazy events for NYE at Society, at Tube with Vinnie Toma (DDK), at East with Stewart Villain, and great showings at all my other spots. I was fortunate enough to get to jet off to New Orleans for work and an absolute highlight was seeing a jazz band cover Mystikal’s “Bouncin’ Back“.

ANYWAY…

Tonight is the 1st birthday of what is easily one of my favorite events every single month.

Fa$t life as an event has always represented the young, fresh outlook on the downtown Portland scene. 11/17/11-11/19/11 Weekend Events

Another rad weekend coming up with some events you absolutely don’t want to miss.

Thursday for yet another edition of WORD! at East Chinatown Lounge, up and coming heavy hitter SILVER MEDALLION is gracing the decks with yours truly as a good weekend warmup.

Friday night I’m playing an awesome mega-event at The Jack London that the rad folks over at Dirty Laces are putting together. We’re having an hour of open mimosa bar, a listening party for Chi Duly‘s Weeknd remix album, Chi & I are DJing, and Silver Medallion & PropaneLV are both throwing down special performances. Saturday is one of my favorite monthlies hosted by Ian Asbusy, and I’m bringing the homie Silver Medallion along to play a guest set for good measure.

Easter Egg- The Heist

My good friend and PDX DJ colleague Easter Egg just released his long-awaited followup to “Jackin For Beats”. This new project, “The Heist” is an hour-long musical collage that I know even folks who don’t generally like mashups will find some great moments in. The final product is a great listen from start to finish, so stream it, download it, share it, and enjoy it.

This weekend is gonna be packed with awesome.

2 events with my dude Chi Duly who recently moved to NY. He’s flying in to drop some serious knowledge on Thursday & Friday and I couldn’t be more stoked to be throwing down with him Thursday @ East and Friday @ Tube:

For the second edition of “NO HANDS”, Eugene’s Tagbak Recs crew braves 100 miles of I-5 to bring us their brand of eclectic rump-shakin music. Sassy Mouff and Champagne Front have built a reputation in Eugene for throwing some of the best parties with support from Them Jeans (Dim Mak) and Paul Devro (Mad Decent).
